Brooke Myers - SPED Teacher

Brooke has always had a desire to teach. While growing up in Ohio, she would play “school” with her brother, even obtaining used books from the catholic school she attended to use to instruct her brother. She substitute taught for 4 years at various schools and various grade levels, including a psychiatric facility for youth in Liberty, Ohio.

Brooke attained a Masters degree in Criminal Justice and pursued a career in law enforcement for 15 years. In 2013, she decided to change her career path, where she owned and operated a salon / spa in Utah. After 5 years running a small business, she and her husband decided to relocate to Idaho. Brooke then decided to pursue her life’s dream of becoming a teacher.

Brooke has been teaching in Idaho for two years now. She began as a paraprofessional at Gateways in Nampa and immediately fell in love with teaching, the staff and more than anything, the students.
